The Dataset which is often referred to as fiber "lit" buildings, shows which carriers have a fiber presence or have optical switches connected to a fiber loop inside a building. The product delivers over 80,000 fiber lit buildings in US Markets and has 12 attributes per building. Additionally, a link ID is provided for reporting and database development. Sources for development include obtaining information from carriers directly, and Telcordia (authorized). The data is geocoded to NAVTEQ and GDT digital street databases and is viewed as a GIS layer in ESRI and MapInfo.
