EOLS utilizes Envinsa, which is a Java based, Web Services location platform that provides a suite of location capabilities commonly used across hundreds of location applications.

  • Location Utility Service to handle geocoding and reverse geocoding functionality including street address, postal code, intersection and custom-defined content.
  • Directory Service to handle 'find the nearest' capabilities plus filtering for various attributes available in the data source. This service works with both standard relational databases such as Oracle 9iAS and spatial databases. It also supports real-time data feeds such as traffic, weather and other dynamic content sources (for additional fees).
  • Presentation Service to present information on maps including points, regions and lines. This service also allows users to zoom in and out, and pan around the map.
  • Coordinate Conversion Service ensures that all data are in the correct coordinate system to properly align.
  • Route Service handles the creation of driving directions, multi-point routes (with multiple stops) and route distance calculations between multiple points.
  • Web Feature Service provides collections of map features you may wish to perform calculation on or to simply display additional details on a map.
  • Detailed Street Maps and wide-range Points-of-Interest including Public Buildings, Parks, Landmarks, Neighborhoods, and more. Information is updated every quarter to provide the latest geographic information as it's available

  • Envinsa Online Services is constantly monitored and updated. Ongoing maintenance and updates, monitoring security settings, user account management and usage metering is designed with minimal to no impact.
